I'm hoping to build my first split cane fly rod with the help of Curt Elder in Overland Park...currently researching tapers...looking at Dickerson 8013, 8014, Granger 8040, or Garrrison 209e (7' 9" 2/2 5wt), perfect for western rivers I frequent in the Rocky Mountains.
